Isolation Help Bexley

IHB are a group of volunteers in the London Borough of Bexley, launched on 17 March 2020 in response to the looming COVID-19 Pandemic. We support the isolated elderly and vulnerable of Bexley, and help them with tasks like collecting a prescription, buying a newspaper or walking a dog.

Over 800 Bexley residents have joined IHB’s ranks and voluntarily provided practical help to many hundreds of elderly or vulnerable neighbours.

We are a local community group dedicated to working together and with our partners to ensure that elderly and vulnerable members of our communities know that they will always have a lifeline in a time of crisis. Put simply, our ethos is that we are committed to ensuring that ‘NOBODY in Bexley feels isolated’.

We often have themed rides, where we visit places of interest, buildings etc, and learn about particular history of an area or have a ride with nice views/scenery and interesting. A food/Coffee/pub stop is common on our rides.

Always ensure that your bike is safe and fit for purpose before attending, Our rides are low risk rides that are tried and tested and all our rides are led by trained and competent leaders.  The rides are aimed to be fun and enjoyable social rides reaching back on time and not leaving anyone behind. Why not come along and join the fun! ” All Welcome”

The rides start from Danson park and other areas of Bexley and sometimes from the Cuttysark. – please feel free to contact me via the “Lets ride” messenger on this site or email at: letsgo@bikerider.com if you have any questions or queries regarding our rides.
