Isolation Help Bexley
IHB are a group of volunteers in the London Borough of Bexley, launched on 17 March 2020 in response to the looming COVID-19 Pandemic. We support the isolated elderly and vulnerable of Bexley, and help them with tasks like collecting a prescription, buying a newspaper or walking a dog.
Over 800 Bexley residents have joined IHB’s ranks and voluntarily provided practical help to many hundreds of elderly or vulnerable neighbours.
We are a local community group dedicated to working together and with our partners to ensure that elderly and vulnerable members of our communities know that they will always have a lifeline in a time of crisis. Put simply, our ethos is that we are committed to ensuring that ‘NOBODY in Bexley feels isolated’.
Girlguiding
Girlguiding is a leading charity for girls and young woman in the UK. Across Bexleyheath and Welling we have 20 fantastic volunteers providing a weekly unit meeting for nearly 300 children. Through fun, friendship and adventure we empower our girls to be their best and face the challenges of growing up today in a safe girl-only space.

The Friends of Danson Park
Friends of Danson Park was established in 2002. A voluntary group, funded by its membership and fund-raising activities, its aims have always been to work, not only to enhance and increase the Park’s environmental and ecological sustainability but also to support other groups working within the Park and Danson Mansion.

We give you a little bit of training then match you with someone in your local community who is lonely or isolated and/or who is nearing the end of life through age or illness. You would visit them for around an hour a week to offer your friendship: we match carefully based on interests and experiences so you will get as much out of it as the person you are visiting..
