Royal British Legion
The Bexleyheath and Welling Branch of the Royal British Legion meets at the Bellegrove Social Club in Welling on the last Tuesday of each month at 8pm.
Membership is open to everyone and previous military service is not required.
Our main work in the area is involved with fund raising for the Poppy Appeal. We also conduct Remembrance events which includes parading our Standard at funerals if requested.
The money we raise goes to our Armed Forces beneficiaries. We have a Welfare representative who can offer advice on how to contact our Welfare team.

Welling Wives
Welling Wives is a social group that takes place at St Michael’s Community Centre in Wrotham Road and has been running for over 30 years.
They meet on the second and fourth Wednesday in the month between 8:00pm and 9:45pm.
It is £3 per session, which includes tea, biscuits, free raffle and a speaker.
Joining the WI is a wonderful way to meet new people, make new friends and there are plenty of opportunities for all members to take an active role in the various campaigns being championed by NFWI. Wherever you live in West Kent and whatever your interests and ideas, we know there is a local WI waiting to welcome you.

Girlguiding is a leading charity for girls and young woman in the UK. Across Bexleyheath and Welling we have 20 fantastic volunteers providing a weekly unit meeting for nearly 300 children. Through fun, friendship and adventure we empower our girls to be their best and face the challenges of growing up today in a safe girl-only space.

St Marys Players
For over 50 years St. Mary’s Players have been putting on twice yearly productions in Welling, Kent. We’re a small, diverse and friendly group always looking for new members to join us!
Our regular meeting is at 8 pm on a Friday, with Wednesday rehearsals happening during the lead up to shows. Our productions take place in June and December.
The Friends of Danson Park
Friends of Danson Park was established in 2002. A voluntary group, funded by its membership and fund-raising activities, its aims have always been to work, not only to enhance and increase the Park’s environmental and ecological sustainability but also to support other groups working within the Park and Danson Mansion.
St Stephen's Playgroup
St Stephen’s playgroup is a friendly and relaxing environment where children under 5 can run about whilst their carers socialise.
We look forward to welcoming you.
The group takes place at St Stephen’s Church Hall on Wednesdays and is run by volunteers. Entry is £2, which covers rent and other costs.
We give you a little bit of training then match you with someone in your local community who is lonely or isolated and/or who is nearing the end of life through age or illness. You would visit them for around an hour a week to offer your friendship: we match carefully based on interests and experiences so you will get as much out of it as the person you are visiting..

Welling Women’s Befriending Cafe
Age UK Bexley offers a fun friendly environment at our Welling befriending cafe current located at the Erith and Belvedere Football Club at Park View Road. It takes place every Wednesday morning between 10:30 and 12:30.
You can expect to meet new people, take part in fun games and activities delivered as well a grabbing a tea or coffee.
Thursday lunch club at The Guy
Every Thursday there is a lunch club at The Guy Earl of Warwick. Please note that there are limited spaces and you will need to book in advance. Click on the link above for details of how to book.

Bexley Park Run
Bexley parkrun is a 5km run – it’s you against the clock. It is held every Saturday at 9:00am. The event takes place at Danson Park, Bexley. See Course page for more details. It’s free to join in but please register with parkrun before you first come along. We all run for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace! We’re friendly! Please join us for a post run coffee at the Danson Stables every week. They open from 10am and provide a good range of food/drink. Indoor and outdoor seating available – weather dependant! |
Alzheimer's Society Bexley Branch
If you need dementia support, Alzheimer’s Society are here for you. We know dementia affects everyone differently. So whether you, a loved one, a friend or neighbour is affected by dementia, we’re here to support you. Alzheimer’s Society provides information and support for anyone affected by dementia living in the London Borough of Bexley. Support is available for anyone who is worried about their memory or who has been diagnosed with dementia or if you are supporting someone living with dementia you can contact us for advice and support on:- Information, advice and signposting services to people in the process of getting a diagnosis or from diagnosis of dementia onwards. Let's Go Cycling
Many of our cyclists are from all parts of London including Bexley and South London with all kinds of backgrounds and riding a range of different bikes, the main focus is cycling and having fun.
Falconwood Spiritualist Group are a friendly group and welcome everyone who comes through our doors.
The group can be found at the small hall of Falconwood Community Centre every Thursday except the last Thursday of each month.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30 start.
