Friday 1st October

Guided Bat Walk in Danson Park

There will be a guided bat walk led by Lucy Sawyer-Boyd of the North West Kent Countryside Partnership in Danson Park on Friday 1st October between 6:30pm and 8:30pm (weather permitting)

Sunday 3rd October

Meet and Greet with Princess Cinderella

Cinderella loves Christmas and really wants to help light up Welling and make it festive.

Come down to Welling to meet her and get a picture with her. She will be collecting donations for the Christmas lights and tree in Welling.

She will be roaming along Welling High Street and Bellegrove Road between Morrisons/Tescos and Iceland from 1pm until 3pm on Sunday 3rd October.

Tuesday 5th October

Friends of Danson Park meeting and Conservation Talk

The Friends of Danson Park are meeting on 5th October for their regular meeting and there will also be a talk by guest speaker Laura Bower, entitled ‘Why do stag beetles and other creatures need your help?’. Laure is the Conservation officer for People’s Trust for Endangered Species.

South East London Meccano Club Meccano Show

London’s most popular Meccano Show moves to Falconwood for its 42nd year!
• See working models of cars, cranes, trains, funfair rides and more, all built from Meccano,
the famous construction toy invented by Frank Hornby in 1901.
• Build your own model and enter it into our Creative Challenge for the chance to win a prize.
• Buy Meccano parts from our dealers.
• Win prizes in our raffle.

Sunday 17th October

Woodlands Farm Harvest and Apple Festival

The Woodlands Farm Harvest and Apple Festival is back. Browse a selection of food stalls and pick up some of the different British Apple varieties. There will be apple pressing and cider available too.

With live music and tractor and trailer rides (weather permitting) it will be a fun way to celebrate the nation’s favourite fruit.

Discover Welling Quiz Night

An evening of quizzing to raise money for Welling Town Centre’s Christmas lights.
Come along for some friendly, competitive quizzing – either bring your regular team or join one of the groups made up on the night. £5 per person and up to 8 people per team. There will also be a raffle on the night.
Bring your own drinks and nibbles.
Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm pens at the ready!
All proceeds raised will go towards the Welling Town Centre Christmas lights.
