Transport in Welling

Trains

Welling Station is part of southeastern railway and has good transport links with direct trains running to London Victoria, London Charing Cross and London Cannon Street in just over half an hour. 

Nearby Falconwood Station also serves many commuters from Welling.

Welling is part of the TfL network which operates a cashless service and you can pay with an Oyster card or contactless payment.  It is served by the following TfL bus routes:

51        between Woolwich and Orpington

89        between Lewisham and Slade Green

96        between Woolwich and Bluewater

486      between North Greenwich and Bexleyheath

625      school service between Plumstead and Chislehurst

658      school service between Woolwich and Crown Woods School

B15      between Horn Park and Bexleyheath

B16      between Kidbrooke and Bexleyheath

N89      Night bus between Trafalgar Square and Erith

The following bus routes do not go through the town centre, but do serve parts of Welling

B11      circular route between Thamesmead and Bexleyheath

422      between North Greenwich and Bexleyheath

Parking

There are two main car parks that serve Welling town Centre, they are:

  • Nags Head Lane car park  DA16 1QN
  • Westwood Lane car park DA16 3QS

Several of the supermarkets in the town centre – Lidl, Morrisons and Tescos also have car parking for customers.  

Parking is also available at Welling Station.  There is a large car park in Stephenson Close an a handful of spaces in Station Approach.
